Logo Design

A while back, I made a logo design for filmmaker/director Jac Renouard. I put a film reel pattern on her glasses- camera symbol, and a pen behind her ear - because she enjoys writing. I just found out some pictures on her blog of the printed cards, CV, etc. I think it looks quite nice, I am happy with the minimalistic look of the design and I am glad she enjoys it!

Emerging Trends seminar

On our emerging trends seminar, Jonathan and me spoke about creating a story, when it comes to comic books and graphic novels.
We mentioned some basic structures, went trough some examples and comic books. To make the seminar more interesting for our group, we decided the create a workshop tasks, where everyone would get a sheet with 3 empty frames, and after drawing in one of them, everyone would switch sheets, so at the end each sheet would have 3 panels done by 3 different artists. We had some pretty interesting results, and we made people trying to explain the story they got before they eyes.

Jonathan recommended me the comic book Descender. I really liked it, because it is a comic book done in watercolour, which is something I am currently doing too. Some of the panels are very simply,  no background and minimal colouring in the characters- but it is just enough, and it works so well. I wish I would be able to do that! Something I often do, is adding way too much detail, background and overcharging the image. I really want to work on making a painting lighter and making it work with less.

I received an offer from a popular online- bookstore in Bulgaria about my major project comic book! Although I am very happy that someone ha...
